TFM-530 Airborne Dual Band FM Transceiver
(DAI Part# TFM530G)
The Technisonic TFM-530 is a dual band frequency agile airborne FM transceiver designed to provide crisp communications on every available 12.5 KHz narrow band channel or 25 KHz wide band channel in the VHF Hi (138 to 174 MHz) and the VHF Lo (30 to 50 MHz) General Service FM band.

This versatile multi-band transceiver can function without restriction on either VHF hi or lo band and is functionally compatible with existing Technisonic FM installations. The TFM-530 can be operated as a single radio with operation enabled on either band through a single audio controller FM position, or it can be configured in "dual mode" allowing for simultaneous operation on both bands.

The TFM-530 offers 400 programmable memory positions (200 per band) each of which is capable of storing a transmit frequency, a receive frequency, a separate CTCSS tone and/or a DPL/DCS squelch code for each transmit and receive frequency, and a nine-character-alpha-numeric identifier for each channel. All data and software control functions are via a front panel mounted 12-button keypad. Operating frequency, alpha-numeric display and other related data are presented on a 96-character, four-line LED matrix display.

The TFM-530 weighs just 5.1 pounds, is Dzus mounted and is completely self contained (no remote transceiver), eliminating complicated, heavy and costly interconnect wiring. The small size and light weight of this compact transceiver make it ideal for helicopter installation.
