Aero 553-101-001 CO Detector with Clock
(DAI Part# 553-101-001)
CO Guardian has just launched a new multi-function Carbon Monoxide Detector, Model Aero-553-101-001. Though the primary function of the unit is to monitor CO levels from as low as 10 ppm, there is a whole lot more to this new instrument.

This latest CO detector from the CO Guardian family, with pleasing aesthetics and an easy to read LCD display, has been designed to replace a standard 2-1/4" instrument panel clock. This saves you the trouble of finding additional panel space to accommodate a stand-alone CO detector.

Input power 9-30 VDC
Power usage Less than 2 watts
Temperature range 0C to 50C
Humidity 5% to 95% (Non conpensating)

FEATURES
RECALIBRATION
Carbon Monoxide detection Detects CO from as low as 10 PPM. Display level from 10 PPM to 999 PPM. Unit will alarm if CO level exceeds 50-70 PPM for more than 5 minutes. Instant alarm if level exceeds 150 PPM. Is designed to meet FAR 23.831
Clock function Shows Local Time and Zulu Time in a 24 hour format.
Flight Timer Flight Timer starts automatically on Take off when 150 ft above runway level. It can also be started manually.
Stop Watch Stop watch function lets you time any segment of your flight.
Inside / Outside Air Temp Keeps track of inside and outside air temperature in both Fahrenheit and Celsius.
Battery Voltage You get instant alert when battery voltage drops / rises above pre-set levels for 14 / 28 V systems.
Cabin Altitude Monitors cabin altitude and sounds an alert when you climb above 10,000 ft , 12,500 ft, and above 14,000 ft. This alerts the pilot to turn on the oxygen as may be required.
Density Altitude The density altitude is indicated based on the absolute pressure and OAT.
RS 232 output Interfaces with CNX 80 (software level 2.0 required) where you will get relevant indications/ alerts.
Remote light Remote light can be mounted for CO alert and Altitude alert.
The CO sensors in our detectors have a 5 to 7 year life under ideal conditions. Even if they are protected from all external contaminants, we strongly recommend re-calibration of the units after 5 years. The CO sensor is extremely sensitive and certain substances in the ambient air may change its characteristics and affect reliability. We will re-calibrate any of your CO Guardian models for a flat fee ( Please contact CO Guardian for pricing information). This service includes the installation of a new CO sensor, re-calibration of the unit and a complete system check. In addition, you will receive a fresh 12 month warranty.
